which countries is it ilegal to change an imei in? also can an imei even be changed on a w800 i have a friend who says you can flash the handset change the imei and also update the settings so it has the w810 settings is this true? and dont worry im not thinking of changing the imei my self before every one starts getting up them self etc

you can't? Has anyone done this. I have 3 or 4 older phones could I do a trade, will I be looked down upon? What about the boxes at the USPS anywhere else you've seen had mobile drop boxes. I just need a new phone and really don't want to pay for it.

I have an LG chocolate and 2 computers that are bluetooth enabled. One is a Sony Vaio, and the other is a toshiba sattelite (laptop). My next door neighbor has a macbook, and when he connects his phone to his computer he sends songs and stuff to it via bluetooth and *bam* theres your ringtone. I was wondering if i could do the same with my phone, and I have already found a way to connect the phone to the computer, but I have no idea on how to send files and make them ringtones.

P.S the sound files are all under 30 seconds long, for I edited them with iTunes, and I am almost positive that they are in the .m4a format.

Ok My brother currently has the Old Samsung SGH - E316 phone, but it's REALLY old, and the camera doesn't work anymore. So He has a birthday coming up next week, and he has told me he wanted a new phone so i thought I'd get him a new one. He is very hard on phones so it needs to be Durable, and it has to be Cingular b\c he and his Girlfriend are under contract with Cingular, so any ideas?

I am presently committed to a Nextel contract, but I only use the walkie-talkie feature. I also have an Alltel, and I use that phone for all the video, picture, and text messaging in addition to all my cellular needs. I am contemplating when December comes around when my contract expires to go with Boost Mobile and still keep Alltel (Alltel is a heck of a lot cheaper than Nextel, in my opinion). Or should I keep both my Alltel and Nextel? Thank you in advance.

ive been gettin prank calls on my nextel everynight about 11 calls a night 4 the past 2 weeks.. they are gross calls but i need to keep my phone on at night for reasons.. is their any way to find out whos calling me.. its on a blocked- incoming- call.. the stupid nextel company says they cant do anything because its a blocked # and the police said to ask the company to block the incoming #.. i got no clue what to do next.. and neither have given me an answer to solve my problem.. their has to be a code like *57 or *82 you can use for a cell.. can some one please help me!!

I have got a Sony Ericsson W300i walkman phone, it's ok apart from one thing, any tunes that have been blue toothed to my phone keep disapearing and then reappearing again!
Sounds odd i know but trust me it does happen, when i go into sounds they have gone when i switch the phone off and on again they have come back!
Anybody else experienced this or is my phone simply shite?

I am planning to get a virgin mobile cause its cheaper than verizon.
It says i can use topup card without monthly fees or any contracts. So if i get a $40 card and i use it for 2 month and i only pay like 20 for a month without any other fees?
what about long distance and weekends?

I am upgrading my cell phone, I am a Cingular customer and will sign a 2 year contract to get the discounted phone. I can't decide between the Motorola Razr, Krzr, V365 or the Samsung Sync... If anyone has an opnion on which is better or worse I would appreciate the advice.

I recently bought a Motorola Blade from Cellone.
Problem is, I can not check my voicemail.
I call voicemail, I enter my security code and mailbox number, and after that it asks me to leave a message. And when I do that, it shows up on my phone that I left myself a message. BUT I STILL CAN'T CHECK THEM!!!!

He calls from his house phone usually and I have a Cingular plan. This plan supports up to 5 phones. He told her that someone said to him that its free for me and it won't use up my minutes if he calls her. They don't talk very often and when they do its for at least a hour. I let her use it when she can be alone at my house to spare me conflict with my parents about it. Also I allow her to late at night sometimes after everyone is sleeping. I don't know how long they talk when I let them do that. I'm assuming for hours because she wakes up pretty tired. Thanks for your answers!
