Ok My brother currently has the Old Samsung SGH - E316 phone, but it's REALLY old, and the camera doesn't work anymore. So He has a birthday coming up next week, and he has told me he wanted a new phone so i thought I'd get him a new one. He is very hard on phones so it needs to be Durable, and it has to be Cingular b\c he and his Girlfriend are under contract with Cingular, so any ideas?

Here is another phone company, same price but national coverage. It is the Cricket Phone Company. You have to put zipcode as prices vary. Now if this is available buy your brother a cheap cingular phone and tell him when his contract is up to get this cricket phone. With unlimited minutes he can do away with the house phone. Then if his gf can eventually get the cricket, then tell them they will never have to worry about minutes. My home phone in San Antonio was about $29 a month so I got the cricket and cancelled. Now my TOTAL phone bill for house and cell is $45. No more home phone, with unlimited minutes. Now the next thing I am exploring is how to get to the internet with bluetooth. I just learned that yesterday. So when I figure out how to do that then I can disconnect the telephone cable I have been on with my brother. LOL I live next door to him so he has a line just for internet. But it is dial up. No DSL available.
Think outstide the box and get a cricket and if not get a cingular refurbished.

If you gotta get a cingular get a refurbished. It is just as good as new and he will never know the difference. Then here is the list to look at. FYI, most cell charge $10-$15 for unlimited texting. The cricket with my $37 has unlimited texting which is why I like it too. But it is good if you are local calling all the time.

i beat on my phone 2-lol
it has fell on cement/tar multiple times and still works fine.
the most durable phones are from nextel but if he has a cingular contract then u dont wanna get him a nextel fone.
