I am planning to get a virgin mobile cause its cheaper than verizon.
It says i can use topup card without monthly fees or any contracts. So if i get a $40 card and i use it for 2 month and i only pay like 20 for a month without any other fees?
what about long distance and weekends?

No. for $45 a month you get 400 anytime minutes and 2000(33 hours) night and weekend minutes.
For $20 a month you can get 100 minutes and NO nights and weekend minutes.. 100 minutes for the whole month all day everyday.
You always have taxes on prepaid cards.
As far as long distance, it either counts against your minutes or your nights and weekends.
