Well I don't personally have an lg chocolate phone I have a motorlakrzr K1 and the same thing was happening to me and it has also happened on other mobiles I have had and it took me a while to discover the source of the problem but if I was you I would check the settings in your themes. What happens is is that you choose a ringtone, (ie Mp3), then you change your theme from the current one you was on, which will have been the one you changed the ringtone to Mp3, and your ringtone settings will change with the theme. thus you need to make sure the ringtone is on the one you want in your theme settings. Your tones will also be dependant on your "caller groups". So you need to check whether your name entries in your phone book are grouped into callers (ie Friends, Family, Personal etc) as you may be setting your tone to Mp3 which will just change your general tone. This will meen if you get an annonymous call (ie a number not stored in your phone book or sim) it will use the Mp3 but if you get a call from a number in your phone book it will use the tone set for that group as you can have a different tone for each "caller group" or even for each person in your phone book. This was another thing that used to puzzle me and took me a while to realize I still forget now sometimes so I am sure if you check your "Theme/Profile" tone settings and your "Caller Group" or even individual contact tone settings in your "Phone Book" you will get it to use your Mp3 ring tone.
