Cell Phones & Plans - February 2007

i just renewed my plan for two years back in november, but i would now like to get a new phone? can i do that without paying an extra cost or do i have to end my plan and then start a new one?

i've been with cingular for 2 years now. many times during the time my bills showed that i have to pay for some 'stuff' that i never used or never bought anything from them in first place. Now for the first time last month some douche stole my SS# and added a line to my account bought a $200 cell phone and changed my address. what the hell? there was a case in 2004 SS or credit card numbers were stolen during a break-in to a cingular store. but back customers received letters alerting them of the
possibility of identity or bank theft. why did't i get one? what do you think? have you had any problems with your company? tell me the story.

For quite a few days, the sound system of my phone has not been proper when used with the headphone/handsfree function (however, plays normally in the speaker mode and functions normally as a phone). The walkman plays a few songs like an old audio cassette, the handsfree function does not work, and neither does the radio. Also, some other songs play very weird... like the voice sounds like it is far away and throughout the song all you can hear is the beats (all the songs in the walkman are in .mp3 format). Has anyone here faced the similar problem? Can anyone please help with this?

Ok. So recently, I've been constantly receiving a phone call from the same person, who I personally do not know. Every time I pick up, I always receive this crackly noise. At first I thought it was a fax machine. However, when I tried calling back, I actually heard a voice on the other end. Also, before I even got a chance to speak, they hung up.

I have a Motorola V3i cell phone that I purchased on Ebay. I'm having issues with it making or receiving calls, I have sent it away to Motorola and they said that they cannot do anything with the phone, come to find out that the software in the phone is from another country and Motorola US cannot do anything with it. I would like to know if there is a way to convert this cell phone with different US Software?

Mines is the Sony Ericsson w900i, i had it for a while and i still love it, i love the jack knife openning effect of the phone. i can listen to the radio, listen to mp3, walkman, watch movies, music videos, 2.0mp camera and its 3g..and all those good stuff + a 4gb memory stick


I can't wait until SE K850i comes out, rumors say it will have a 5 Mega pixel camera

I need a new cell phone I've had the same one for years and its starting to slowly but surely quit working more and more everyday... I have Cingular (AT&T, whatever they call it).
