Do they recycle, destroy or sell the olds phones?

you get to keep the phone when you upgrade. like lets say im with cingular wireless for 20 months out of my 2yr (24month) contract, they will offer me an upgrade. i get to keep my old phone and use the new one. because you have already purchased that phone out right, it's yours. you can then sell it yourself but they dont take it back, the only time they take it back is if you cancel with in the first 30 days, or whatever the buyers remorse period is for that company. you can also just keep it in case your new phone breaks or something. hope this helps.

If you don't want to keep it they can be donated to non-profit organizations for domestic violance. They can give the phone to victims so they will always have access to calling 911. An old cell phone that is no longer active still has the capability to call 911 in an emergency.

i think recycle or resale them to others for a cheaper price .. others who can't afford a new phone thats real exspensive

you can donate it. or you can drop it off at places like officemax to be recycled. either way the phone is yours to do wahtever you want with it.
