But I dont wanna go pay them $300 for a new one can I buy one off eBay or something and it will still work with my current service and keep the same number?

Yes! It will work, or if your contract has already ended with them, you can resign and they will give you a deal on a new phone. Go to www.cingular.com then click on the Upgrade phones link, there are several phones that you can even get for free!

Good luck!

Yes, so long as it is a GSM phone, if it is from another provider (T-Mobile) then make sure that it is unlocked. You will also get to keep your same phone number, just put in the SIM card into the phone you buy, the SIM is usually in the battery compartment section of the phone.
