Every cell phone provider let's you send txt from their site.

Yahoo messenger also lets you:
To send IMs as text messages from your PC to a mobile phone or device:

1. Type a mobile phone number into the Contact Search Bar (including area code)
2. Click on "Send SMS" in the drop-down menu
3. Type your message and click Send. Your friend will receive the message on their phone and will be able to message you back on your PC

You need to have them send you a text so you know what service they use then it's just like e-mail. I send my hubby e-mails all the time to pick up stuff from the store!

Like you send an email except put their number at their provider ex: 5555555@t-monet.com something like that

Microsoft SMS sender - try googling it and I am sure there will be others!
