Cell Phones & Plans - September 2006

I'm in jr. high, and I really NEED one. I mean, in Elemenatary, you don't really need one, but, now, I get to walk home, what if there was an emergency? and I go to all the football games, and the dances, and all that jazz, My mom needs to know when to pick me up from all these events, and my parents are divorced, and I want to be able to call my mom when I'm at my dad's. And, like I just really need a phone, and I tried to talk to my mom, she is bullheaded, she says" Shut up, I don't wanna hear about a cellphone" so, yeah. and making a chart is just stupid. Please don't say whining or begging, that won't work, and don't say get a job, I'm not old enough. And, I am not gonna babysit or even worse, do a lemonaide stand. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, and I know this question has been asked over and over.

I bought a cablee for my wireless phone and it's not working.
The thing that bugs me is that when I inserted the usb end into my computer something popped up in my pc screen but I accidentally clicked ok or cancel.
Now whenever I plug the cable in nothing happens.
I can't get this stuff to work...

I have a verizon lg phone and i want to know how to tell if it got wet...under the battery there is a little white sticker with red exes and in the phone where the battery goes there is also a white sticker with red exes. do these red exes mean it got wet or does the whole sticker turn red when it gets wet?

My dad wont let me get one and all my friends have one. I told them the whole "emergency" thing and he's like..then we'll get you a phone that just calls me or mom. But i dont want that. Whenever I make an outgoing call or even recieve one for that matter, there is this reoccurring tone that sounds like call waiting (but its def not that) that is persistent throughout the whole duration of my conversation. I am under my parents plan with cellular one and was wondering if anyone has experienced this or knows anything about it before I resort to calling Cellular one to find out whats going on. Thx:)

whenever i try to use bluetooth the phone tells me that it is already connected to another device but it isnt,have never been able to connect it. when i try to turn b/tooth off the phone goes thru the motions and tells me it is turned off but automatically reverts to the default position of on. Any ideas please

my pebl phone has got a mind of its own. it keeps pressin buttons by itself and wont let me look at messages. i have tried switichin it off and back on but now it wont even let me put my pin number in. can anyone help?

I have a LG cell phone through Verizon.. I believe the model is VX600 or something like that. ANyway, I've had it for about a year, and i feel that the battery is craping out on me. Everytime i make a call ::even for as little as 2 minutes:: my phone goes down 2 bars to nearly dead. I have no trouble with service i get all my calls just fine. I took it to Verizon and they said my battery was fine. Does anyone have the same problems with their LG phones?
