I am puzzled over the results I got when using two programmes to check for registry errors.
I used the free, evaluation version of Registry Cleaner to scan the registry. It listed 58 problems, and corrected 20 of them, leaving 38 uncorrected.
Then I did a scan with Registry Mechanic (which I bought). The results for this were 14 problems. It fixed them all.
Then I did ANOTHER scan with Registry Cleaner. It said there were still 23 faults.
How can this be? Do the two programmes check the registry in a different way, or does one of them do a more thorough check than the other?
Is it worth buying Registry Cleaner when I already Registry Mechanic?
And does anyone know of a similar programme that they believe can do a better check of a computer registry than the ones I have tried?

It's all installed (the proper version, not beta), and it jsut won't sign in! No error message comes up, it just tries to sign in continuously...any idea what's wrong???

I have a question regarding referencing. I am trying to reference to different worksheets. Currently, I have daily worksheets and their names are basically in mmddyy format, i.e. 071606 for July 16, 2006. I need to lookup (or reference) to these worksheet, but I don't want to look them up individually - i.e., clicking to the worksheet and to the cell one by one. Is there a easy way to do this? I can list all dates, convert them to text so it matches the individual worksheet names, but I cannot use this text string in referencing. Thanks!

Hi i am installing windows xp to a formatted hard drive, during setup i get the blue screen saying "Page Fault in Non Paged Area" can anyone help with this, all hardware works fine as i have just installed the new hard drive and the other hardware worked fine before that.

It never used to do this. It seems to have slowly got worse. It's not as if I have installed anything new that might have slowed it up. Could it be waiting for some device to respond? Everything else closes down quickly. How do I speed things up?

my cousin downloaded it onto my laptop and i hate kazaa cause it comes with all the spyware crap.. anyways, i go to remove it and i get an error saying 'setup has encountered an error, please close all other programs, clear your temp internet folder and then try and run setup again' the error code is 6001 if that helps

i saved my office XP files from CD to my hard drive...but due to some reason it can't load the Office1.cab which is the required file at the time of installation..so i loaded from another Office XP CD but file loading stopped after 5 sec ..and hanged....as file size same as that on CD....but at the time of installing it shows that office1.cab is corrupt...and installation interrupted.. as i can't load it from net as file size is around 200 MB
Let me tell u both of my CD's are legitimate.. but quite used..so with many scratches and marks its hard to read it.. so tell me about the software or any other way ....
