i need help on where and how 2 start for my project on
creating a chat application using javascript and ASP.
we are allowed 2 use any other programming language as well.
are there any good resources 2 help me for this project?

I am considering starting a web 2.0 website which would be community based where users contribute articles, etc and tag them. I want it to be highly scalable and I want it done in PHP/MySql.

I would like to use some freelance services like elance.com, freelancer.net, etc to get my project done. Do they think they always deliver well and upto mark and which is the best and trusted one to go with.

And yes I know about the err object. I need something that will let me record a history of errors for showing the user. It needs to log to file or database and allow viewing of the error history. It also needs to allow maintenance of the error history.

i get this msg:

I want to create a blank database in microsoft's mdb format. to change it, i will use a sql engine. i can't seem to find a software that will do that (other than microsoft's access, ofcourse).

alternatively, if anyone has another filetype i can use, i will try it. and no, .txt and .csv files will not serve my purpose.
