I believe ask is coming up with some new innovations, good image search, lots of information(news, dictionary, images, encyclopedia, music etc) on one page, the new UI on www.askx.com is simply awesome. Their related search is simply the best out there. If you have some weird idea of something you want to search, related search will surely give you a lot of options. I love every part of it.
I dont like msn at all, it sucks. Live search is surviving only because of their IE, as default search engine is live. Yahoo is just Ok.
Google is good, but they havent done anything innovative for a long time. The only place where ask lacks is that for some queries(very small set) the results are not as relevant as google, but then they have improved quite a lot in the past few months and believe me guys ask is the future search engine.Wait for few years and they will be at the top.
visit www.askx.com and see for yourself. See links below for the query "easter" comparison on google and askx

Simply Google
Reasons.....
Multi-country options,
Image searches
News
Groups
but mainly the fact that they still are growing and there interest are the ppl.... Not there money
There staff are happy and work for the pleasure and joy.
They use and buy the best technolgies and are on top of the market compaired to the others that have been running for a long time.
They started as two guys in a back shed.... Now they are the biggest and best.
They allow other options that other search engines do not and will continue to grow for the interest of there customers.
They allow website owners to choose how there site is accessed and view from there engine.
They allow by default "Safe Search" for image search so children "should'nt" find the wrong content.
