For some reason windows xp is huge. How do I shrink it? I tried to change it by the resolution but it appears to be ok. How do I shrink the browser and everything else?

I was able to preview in browser by hitting F12, but when I added a dreamweaver extension for building navigation menues it all of a sudden says that I need to set up a testing server. If I was to have my site hosted would I get a testing page or is hosting just once up and going live. I have been having a hard time building this site. Is there a program that is better than dreamweaver or more user friendly? Doing things in Fireworks and importing is just a pain, I'll have to use cold fusion & flash with it. I am trying to build a very interactive nationwide ag & horse sales site. I will have to have an extensive database & more, not sure if that helps with the previous question about software. I am not opposed to changing if dreamweaver is not the easiest to use. I just need to have a database, list pics, videos, allow people to input a profile, have a forum area, and list advertisements. Any answers and opinions are greatly appreciated. Need some answers ASAP.

Also from data structures to oops and component oriented programming paradigm and further. I am not after any employment right now, but want to learn A to Z of computers inside out with related maths for algorithms etc., It may take 10 years. ok.
Please advice me the complete syllabus, methods of study etc.,.
I have passed CompTIA's A+ and network+. Also have some knowledge of c and c++ upto pointers. Only after learning these, I came to know the omnipresence, versatility and power of computing. Till then I wanted to learn some programming and some certification like mcse or ccna for a good job. Now my thinking is totally changed and want to learn learn and learn IT to gain a research level understanding in IT for the rest of my life.

please advice me all the resources, links and advice to how to go about it.
Please also suggest some websites and blogs of computer scientists, students and research scholars.

I am looking for online learning and free resources please.

I thought it was system.path or something like that...

But I've forgotten and flipping through my old programs I haven't run back across it...anyone remember/know?

Copy file /labs/data/cases.out to your pwd. Cases.out is a datafile that came from a database. It contains 5 fields. Each field is separated by a |. The first field is a case #, the second is an id #, the third is the persons name, the fourth and fifth field are the data opened/closed. If a field contains '**/**/**' then the case is either still open or has never been opened.

Use search and replace occurance of '**/**/**' to NEVER.

Im having moderate difficulty with this lab trying to preserve the formatting. Perhaps someone could be of help.

I would like to save data from variables (holding data from text boxes etc.). I would like to save the data to files. I am using PHP and if I have to I could send it somehow to some other scripting language I will but I am trying to find what would work best. I unfortunatly am not seeming to find much for saving to file through PHP, (Creating a file etc). Any ideas, links or scripts?
