The background is all white, the text is all in Times New Roman, there are no columns... It looks like a really primitive web page. No script or anything. What happened?!

Jessica ... My rendition of the web page looks normal. Perhaps your web browser is having a "fit"? Try another browser (if you have one) and see if things don't look any better.

They kept it simple. Sometimes it's better to keep things simple so that they load easy. Yahoo! has a consistent theme of using white backgrounds so this matches quite well. I like what they've done with Yahoo Music. Those colors are cool. But then again, its more complex too.

Too many bells and whistles often times slow down a website. This is a simple forum where you can pose questions or answer it. The very idea of which is rather primitive.

It sounds like styles are turned off in your browser. In Firefox, select Page style from the View menu and click Basic style. I don't know if this can be done in IE.

Actually, it is a very well made site. It works well and is easy on the eyes. If you look at the source, there is actually tons of javascript and much more here.
