This is something I'm more that starting to realize...but I want to ask others opinions as well.

Is it a general rule of programming that you stop asking yourself if you can do something, and start asking yourself how (your going to) you do something?

I am running WinXP on a macbook via apples bootcamp software, mainly so that i can run microsoft's visual studio software to do c++ programming. what i need to know is how can i type in the hash key without having to go to character map and copy it from there. in mac os x all i have to do is alt +3 and i get the hash key but this doesn't work in windows. please help.

I am typing up a paper on Microsoft Word and I want the header to start on the second page of the document ONLY, but the program always puts the header on the first page as well and if I try to delete only the header on the first page it deletes all of them.

How do you format headers starting on the second page of a document?

I've developed a tiny bit of understanding about the use of HTML. So far, I've been able to add links to songs that are kept in yahoo briefcase.

But each song has its own play bar. I'd like to be able to add a single playbar with a playlist that you can navigate through.

Also, is there any way to play a song and not have it reload each time you switch windows in the same blog?

I use Blogger.

I need to create an online shopping page on my dad's web site where people can purchase items using only a credit card (that info will go to the bank so I don't need to worry about that part). I want to display the items and prices, keep a running total and add shipping at the end. Can this be done with VB? I mean can front page accept VB and display it on a web page?

i'm at a loss to what this error is it only happends some times not all the time

Hi,

I am Currently doing a website for my Sunday League Football Team. Which is also for my Computing Degree.

I have designed 2 homepages. i have uploaded these for you experts to have a look at and give me your opinions on where i can improve the site. when you open the page it will give you the option of opening either site 1 or site 2. please when giving feed back let me know which is your favourtie and why.

i am also looking to put a news ticker on my site. anyne know who i can put this onto my site would be great.

I just need to build a simple site. I created the layout for my webpage with a table. I now want to put an image into one of the cells and add some form data on top of that image. Doing this with layers seems very complicated because the layers wont snap into the table or stay where i want them to when i preview it in a broswer, and i dont want to deal with all the backend code. Isnt there a simpler way to do this with dreamweaver?

Ive created a table layout for my page that is 800 pixels wide and center aligned. Now, within those table cells i want to add layers so i can insert images with forms on top of them. But, when i insert a layer into a cell, it doesnt "nest" inside the table cell, so to speak. The layer stays aligned to its own coordinates, so when i preview my page in the browser, the layer is left aligned while the rest of the page is center aligned. How can i insert a layer into a cell and have it snap into place and move with the table?

hi we have a .dmp file of size 76 MB in c:\. After the work on clients is finished we export the .dmp file all this my sir looks but today as my sir was absent i tried to export the .dmp file like this. i typed exp in runbox on windows start button then a dos window came asking for user id & password i gave them both next it asked for file i gave location c:\nlr.dmp it asked whether to export i just hit enter again some questions, every time i hit enter it asked whether to export table or rows or entire table i selected entire table. it started exporting export completed. but the file size is too large (compared to the previous exported files which are just around 75-80 MB in size) this one is nearly 190 MB there is a lot of data in it. i am worried whether i had made any loss to the data is there any way to bring it back to normal mode ( i am using windows xp sp2 with oracle 9i) any help in this regard is highly appreciable i've to do it by tomorrow morning) my cell no. is 9399920694.

Hi, I use Frontpage 03 to edit my site here on yahoo. I'm just confused because there are both htm and html pages created. I'm not sure if/when I was given the option of which to make. the "site" stored in my documents has index.htm as it's home page, and the real website, or remote site as they call it, has it's homepage as index.html. But, on the remote site there is also an index.htm which seems to be linked or synced (sp?) to the homepage, index.htm, on my "site" which is in my documents.
So I just deleted the index.htm off the remote site because I thought maybe it's not supposed to be there and I must have mistakenly made it.
Had I only come here first and asked, because I have faith in the yahoo answers community that we can get this problem resolved. Any answer is appreciated!!!

I have very good knowledge of SAP r/3. I am a trained ABAPer. I have very good programming in reports, BDCs and have good knowledge on other cross applications.
Do give a list of smaller companies who take trained ABAPers, so that I get some experience and improve my programming skills.
