Can I make simple animations with a program other than Flash?

Sites like ytmnd have lots of simple animations that people claim are made in photoshop. Does photoshop have animation capabilities?

The animations you see on ytmnd are animated GIF's. Those can be created with Adobe ImageReady. You can also use a similar program called Gif Animator:

its called an animated gif

not photoshop but imageready (comes with photoshop)
