Programming & Design - September 2006

I need to stream LARGE video files online on a web site. The files are 300+ meg currently in Quick Time Format. I have been able to compress to about 12 meg with a free flash video encoder but my client is not happy with the quality and says it still takes long to load. Does anyone have suggestion as to how i can achieve a balance between file size / quality etc. I am new at video streaming so any help would be appreciated.

I have a .php page with this string
When you see it through you browser it displays "not currently logged in (Log in)" or "currently logged in, Mary"...
Now, I have put on that page a Flash header and I was wondering how can I make that string show up in Flash.
I am an absolute newbie. Please explain in detail.

I am creating a stored procedure and all of my code seems to be right. However, I am getting the errors...incorrect syntax near 'value' and could not find my stored procedure. I have an activeX control that launches from a web page using the code
below: it launches fine but not before giving this error in IE: "This
page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display

hi, i'm an office assistant for a non-profit public transit company. Recently my boss told me that she made a (very simple, and basic) website. However, she has been very dissatisfied with the end product. I have been charged to look for web developers to help improve the website to looking more professional, rather than sloppy.

all i want to happen is that after n=1 gets calculated, if norm>0.00005 to do n=n+1=2 and keep going until norm<0.00005.

note: x and y have been defined previously (not shown).

I went to the Rascal Flatts concert. They had a huge screen that showed videos/scenery on it and had square lights that showed fire, waterfalls, etc. all around the stage. I was just wondering how someone would get the job of creating things like this for a concert.
