right click exit it will appear again and again on each restart
go click on the blue empty area on the taskbar
properties >>> coustmize >>> and select the behaviour as u want >>> chose hide always

i think you are asking to remove icons on the task bar tray.
it i simple just click start button and select run, type msconfig on that run window click enter. one window will come into picture there you select startup tab and uncheck what ever you want to remove, and click ok. it will ask for reeboot your system.after rebooting you will not see those icons in the askbar that you unchecked.
