Internet - April 2007

I have a laptop and i am curently on the wireless internet right now, but my family got a call saying we where not registered for this one internet company SBC Yahoo. Is there a way to register them online or am i registered right now since i'm on the internet? Or what should we do? Or what?

I'M NOT GOOD WITH THIS SORT OF THING!

I have windows xp. IE 6.0. Sometimes when I click a link my pc will prompt me to click a connect pop up and then go to a pop up to initiate an old dial up connection. This is totally unnecessary since I have a cable modem connection. It's also annoying, sometimes preventing me from moving along in what I want to do.

First, I could not register. I would enter a username and password/confirm password, click "next". It would take me straight to "welcome to Neopets!". No entering email or anything. Well, after registering in another computer at school, I try to login on both computers at my house. It says my password is incorrect. I have tried for 2 days, nothing. But on other computers outside my house, I can get on the first time I login! And, yes, I have activated my account, both from the email and on the site, before you ask. And I have tried both Internet Explorer and Firefox, the browser is not the problem ,either.
1.) Why is this happening.
2.) How can I fix it.
3.) I don't want my neoptes to die, help!

ok...im use sosneaky.com proxy to get past my schools blockers to use ebuddy.com/mobile. i get to the main selection on ebuddy to choose from yahoo, msn, or aim. but when i select one, it always asks me if i want to save a .php file...how do i stop this so i can use the ebuddy messanger

For a staff used to using Outlook with an Exchange server so as to allow easy meeting scheduling, viewing others'
availability for coordinating times, etc. -- is there anything comparable with regard to the free, online calendar systems? The company doesn't want to shell out for Outlook, but the majority of the staff is having fits at not having it. Is there anything that can save the day?

You hear all these cultural references in books, movies, on TV about "Googling" a person. I realize that with those of a famouse status, you can just type in their name, but those like me who have nothing to be known for can't be found in that manner. How can I find a regular person on the Internet? Is there a certain way needed to word what I type in the search engine?
