Over a year ago, I needed to transfer some files to another computer and the easiest way to do so at the time was to email them. They were password protected Corel Wordperfect documents. Stupidly enough I sent them to my Hotmail address and deleted the originals. Well, Hotmail decided there was an "unknown virus" in the attachments and won't let me open them. It has to be because of the attachments because I can open non-protected files. So did the virus scanner get threatened because of the encryption or something? Anyway, I've kept those emails around in the hope they might change their minds about it but it hasn't happened. They're not important files, they'd just be nice to have. Anything I can do?

I have a windows xp and earthlink dial-up internet. Recently it has been disconnecting after 10-30 minutes of use. I have tried many things with little succes. I turned off my firewal (sygate), that fixed it for one day, then it stopped working. I turned off callwave (internet answering machine) same deal, same thing happened when I system restored to an earlier date. No matter what I do it seems like there is no solution. I scanned for viruses, found none, same with spyware. Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have two phone lines with at&t.(sbc). one line I have dsl. If I use dial up on the other line, will I be charged.? Both lines have unlimited calls. I do not have a rooter, just separate phone numbers and phone lines. Sometimes my sister wants to use the internet while I am using it.
