When i try to download something from the internet, the com shuts down... if possible, tell me the steps i can take to solve it...! Thanks...

ur child(com.) is suffering from high fever(serious viral infection). apply medicine(norton anti-virus) kept on the shelf(yahoo! toolbar) !!!!!!!!!!!

Shuts down with a shut down process -or- shuts down like you unplugged the cable?
if first probably virus
if second ... are you sure that is when trying to download something from the internet or it may be in any moment? when power supply is malfunctioning computers shuts down unexpectedly.

It sounds like you got a virus, use an anti-virus software to scan your computer and if possible do the scan from another computer.
