Though you can buy things online on Trusted sites, buying online could be a bit risky, if you don't take proper security measures: Installing & using a firewall, AntiVirus, Spyware etc.

First thing, no sites are shown as trusted sites, unless you trust them and enter the website address in the internet options, in the following path

Tools >> Internet Options >> Security >> Trusted Sites >> Sites >> Check the box for requires server verification {https:}.

This would result in internet explorer checking for safer sites. One easy way of finding a trusted site is that, it will always contain "https://", instead of "http://", where the "S" denotes "Secure".

Hope this information helps. Let me know if you have any questions. For more information, refer "https://www.symantec.com".

Thanks!

the site should have a secre certificate visible somewhere-

example check out:
www.cvglassart.com

the have a secure certificate in the left hand corner. It displas the current time and day so you know it is current.

otherwise you can always go with if the site is: https:// where you are ordering - the "s" after http means secure.

happy online buying!

there are many scam sites out there so be careful, i think that there's just about one site where you can be fairly safe and that's ebay, and even then people can get you.
