a pop up is something which Appear suddenly or unexpectedly("it suddenly popped up out of nowhere")

to correct this

install Active x control on to ur browser and make sure that ur browser supports JAVA script and runs on a java or j2ee environment so that it can make appear encripted pages
and u better use opera browser 9,it is better and does not get up pop ups mostly

pop ups come up fr several reasons

if u work on pages with high graphics or resolutions ,they play mostly with macromedia flash player or macromedia shockwave player ,u better install these MSP and MFP by this u wont be getting pop ups

Here are a few things to try:

Download these two (free) programs:

SpyBot Search & Destroy
AdAware
http://www.malwaresolutions.com/tools_spyware.html

Run both programs in safe mode -
see more about this here - http://www.vermontpcsolutions.com/how_to_remove_spyware.html

I would also scan for viruses - there are many free programs out there - here is a whole list (I recommend AVG Anti-VIrus) -
http://www.malwaresolutions.com/tools_anti_virus.html

You should also be running a firewall (if you are not already) - again, here are a list of free firewalls (I recommend Zone Alarm) - http://www.malwaresolutions.com/tools_firewalls.html

Finally, use Mozilla Firefox!! as your web browser! - http://www.vermontpcsolutions.com/tools_browsers_firefox.html

Good Luck!

1) get a good browser that deals with pop ups - firefox is free and much better than internet explorer.

2) you probably have adware & spyware
get 'ad-aware' and 'spybot search and destroy'to remove this nasty malware form your PC - both these are free

3) make sure you have a good, up-to-date anti-virus. If yopu need a new one, AVG is very good and its free

Get a computer expert in mate. I had this problem a year or so ago as I had Adware.

I don't know how knowledgeable you are with computers, but I found there's no point in messing about - get an expert in and he'll sort it all out.
