Okay i have been trying to get an AOL email adress and nothing is going wrong. But everytime i go to like, sign up, its asking for my phone number. And i keep quitting sign up because of it.
Im only wondering, why do they need my phone number?
i tried searching the site, but i could not find anything useful.

oh, and something else, about AIM this time, i have the 6.0 version downloaded with a sn and everything, and there are things my buddies are able to do that i cant, like there are icons or something like toolbars that they have that i dont.

why is this exactly? and what can i do about it?

please help!

I am using Outlook Express. Everytime I try to send the email with the attatchement, it says:
An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'Hotmail', Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol: HTTPMail, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 12019, Error Number: 0x80004005

we installed it easily but then it says to open the web browser....but the only web browser i have is the dial up..which is going to be disconninuted after i get this set up..my question is how do i open my web browser if they never sent a disc to set it up in the first place? thanks

So my brand new laptop says that I'm connected (signal strength excellent) to the internet. My moms laptop is plugged directly in (hers is old-no wireless), and hers is working. My laptop gets wireless when I'm away at school fine, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working here at home. It worked fine with my old laptop at home, but since I got this new one (over Thanksgiving break) I can't get it to work at home.

Suggestions?
