Internet - October 2006

When I get ready to leave a web site and return to my home page...there are no backward or forward arrows . When I click on the X in right hand corner it takes me back to the desktop. I only want to return to my home page.

I have tried to no avail to set my home page to yahoo, and for some reason it keeps reverting to AOL. I have removed all AOL items from my add & remove programs but I still can't get it to save yahoo.com as home page.....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I have two computers at home, but can only use one when I connect to my dialup account. Was just wondering if the two computers can share the same dialup account at the same time...Any suggestions......Thanks.

I live in the UK and want to phone my relatives in Canada. My mum pays the computer bill in my house and I've just joined SKYPE. I can't persuade her that it's free to phone our relatives abroad. She says there must be a catch somewhere. What can I tell her? And how does SKYPE make a profit and stop itself from going out of business?

switches to uk.yahoo.com... and no matter what I do, the system doesn't allow me to switch back to www.yahoo.com or any other webpage. For that matter, I cannot go to any webpage. This only happens under my company profile, and not my local profile. What is going on here? Someone is telling me that perhaps my computer has been hijacked! Not sure what the fix is...please advise.

everytime i get to the user-chooser page i try to sign in and it tells me invalid password (even though i know they are valid).... i then have to type out my entire email address and password on the next screen and then it finally lets me in.... this never used to happen.... i've cleared my cache and cookies and it still happens even after i log and and then try to change user.... this only happens on my computer, not my husband's which is hooked to mine via a router.... can anyone offer suggestions? thanks.... --cynthia :)

We have a mate who passes out everytime he has a drink. Obviously this opportunity to abuse him cannot be missed so we film them and put them on youtube. I ordered a cd from amazon.com waited a whole week to to get it was excited when it came tore open the package oped the case [by the way it was a used cd] and NO CD WHAT THE FU#@ i emailed the seller the day i rec the package and they emailed me back saying that they would refund shipping. i think they should refund fully NOBODY EVER PAYS FOR A CD CASE what do you think???
