Internet - July 2006

OK this is so embarrassing for me since I'm like really clever with regards to technical stuff, especially computers and the Internet.

I can't access either of the websites listed below at all.

OFFICIAL website of the band Frank* (who have their own TV show called Totally Frank).

http://www.frankofficial.com/forum or http://www03.mer.uk.vvhp.net/~frankofficial/forum
OFFICIAL forum (both links are for exactly the same thing).

It just sits there 'trying' to load but doesn't.

I know that the frankofficial.com website is PHP and I'm wondering if PHP websites actually don't load up if you're editing them. The forum is phpBB but this isn't loading either.

Can someone please try the links and see if they actually work or not and let me know.

page cannot be displayed, yet if i go back, try again, i always get the page? browser is set right(i think). every time, it takes me to the page if i try again.

When I come to access the internet via my laptop - No Joy. It shows it has a connection to the NETGEAR wireless but starting internet explorer displays the "page cannot be displayed" page - please help.

I think desktop and wireless side is good maybe i need to do something to my laptop?

I downloaded it the other day desperate to make a phone call while my phone was disconnected, haha(back on now) Anyways it was very useful for me and free. What did you think about it and what do you use it for? If you do not have it then download it , its great!

Sometimes when I download stuff, and dont like the stupid things ive done (like load mozilla firefox and a thousand addons) I want to reload and start from scratch. Unfortunately, when i reinstall the program from the net, it remembers what I had before and reinstalls that too. How to just say, reinstall firefox without them reinstalling all of my f*** ups from before.,

If I am browsing the net with IE(MSN Internet Explorer), and I see a site I wish to bookmark, and I haven't signed in, I simply go to Favorites, Add Favorite, and I have bookmarked that site. Why doesn't Yahoo make it that simple. As it stands now, if I wish to bookmark a site while browsing with Yahoo, and I haven't signed in, I have to write down the web address and then sign in to Yahoo. If I don't write down the address then I loose the site if I click "Add Bookmark" because I haven't signed on. This is also a huge hassle if I am say 4 or 5 pages into the site and that perticular page address fills up the entire address bar?
