Internet - June 2006

In the right corner of my computer there is a little box that says winantispyware2006alert with a bunch of mumbo jumbo about spyware. I CANNOT get it to go off my scrren no matter what I do! Ive turned off computer. Ive switched user names. Tried exiting and there it is STILL! How can I get this thing off???? HELP!

hi ive just installed a download manager for the first time and am wondering what speed it should be running at i have a fairly high specs pc and my downloads in internet download manger are running at about 29.0kbsps,is that as fast as it should be going i seem to remeber my normal downloads in firefox going at about 24kbsps.im on dsl/broadband and have a 500spd modem can anyone help?

If you get what seems like endless spam emails from people saying you have won a lottery or that your relative has died in a car crash and has left you money or anything from anybody.viriglio then you are being targeted by the infamous yahoo yahoo boys of Nigeria. Don't fall for it. Don't answer them because then they just know the email addy is real. Look at this article for more info.

I need email of administrators or developers of Yahoo! slurp engine. This crawler is hitting my site very strangely - and it's making a lot of mess in logs and databases. Yahoo! Slurp is logged in my database that entered a site over 1,4 million times in 1 month (i am logging entries through global.asax) - this is becoming a huge problem...And all the time it is from Yahoo! Slurp range - 68.142...

I need information to type into the "fill in the blank" questions when setting up a new email account such as incoming and outgoing server names and what type of server, POP3 http.

and Lastly is there anything else you might recommend I need to set on my computer? I went into control panel to add yahoo as my default mail server but it is just not working. I tried
Incoming: pop.mail.yahoo.com
and
Outgoing: out.yahoo.com

I have a re-occuring problem, when I try to use Internet Exlporer I click on it and all I get is a blank screen. Then I try to close and I get the 'programme not responding' message and I have to 'End task now'. This is becoming quite annoying as it is happening more and more often.
