Without knowing more info about your system, it's very hard to tell you exactly what to do in order to fix the problem. However, AVG doesn't remove popups, bur rather it's a virus scanner.

It's perfectly OK to have multiple internet connections, such as dial-up, a LAN, or wi-fi. When you access the internet, you simply choose which connection you want to use that time.

To remove a connection, go to Tools, Options, click the Connections tab at the top, then select the connection you want to remove and hit Remove.

I would suggest downloading Ad Aware, which is free, to remove those annoying popups. It works very well, but you definitely have to keep it updated as more and more of them hit the market.

If its an exact duplicate, right click on the second icon & select "delete: from the drop window. If you have two different versions, right click on the icon you wish to remove, select "delete" within the drop window. Then restart computer.
