After adding some ip's in the hosts file (to block advertising pop-ups), when I try to save it, it gets saved as a text file and the "hosts" file remains as it is. I also tried to edit the "hosts" file in command prompt but it showed a message "you can't edit read-only files". I also tried to rename the text file "hosts.txt" as "hosts" but failed as the "hosts" file was already present. So, what do I need to do to edit & save the "hosts" file ?
