It had been working fine until yesterday. Now when I hit the print button it seems to take forever for the information to get to the printer. It prints a little then pauses then prints more. I can't seem to figure out what caused this and how to fix it.

I rarely print to my Epson Stylus C86. When I do print it is as if the ink in the cartridge has started to dry up. Is there a way to keep the ink from drying in the cartridge for an infrequently used printer? Or is the issue more related to cleaning the print head?

I see printers with a 10K/month duty cycle, but how long can they do that sort of work? A year? Two years? How do they figure a duty cycle?

Detail. When I go to print something, the printer acts as if it is working, but nothing is on the page. How can I fix this and why is it doing so?

I've seen these huge printers and I can't think of who would need to use them except Rand McNally or somebody. Any thoughts?

I am looking at buying a HP Color LaserJet 1600HP printer. However I noticed that when my printer cartridges go assuming an even use between the four cartridges. It would be cheaper just to go buy a new laser printer, then buying 4 seperate toner cartridges. I know the laser printer keeps track of the pages and then stops you from printing if it has run out. How can I justify buying something that I might as well buy a new one when the cartridges go.

I'm on a teachers budget, so I don't want to go over $200 (prefer lower), but I'm getting lost with the reviews. I've looked at:
-Epson PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition Personal Photo Lab Color Inkjet Printer
-Photosmart D7160 Color Photo Printer
- Epson Stylus R340 Color Photo Printer
-Canon Pixma iP6600D Color Photo Printer

Can anyone offer advice, or other suggestions? I like the individual ink tubes, or any way to not spend a ton on ink. But I need good picture quality. Thanks for any help.

When I try to access the properties for a printer, it says "Printer properties cannot be displayed. The print spooler service is not running." Unfortunately, it IS running! I went into the services module and checked - it's set to "Automatic" and is currently running.

I tried stopping and re-starting the print spooler service; that worked fine, but still no luck printing or accessing printer properties.

I tried rebooting the computer; no luck.

Obviously, the RPC service is running, and there are no other listed services in the "Dependencies" box.

Any help much appreciated!

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Someone prints something to a printer.
They get a message saying the print job failed.
About 10 minutes later the item is printed.
This doesn’t happen all the time.
