Random Access Memory (Installed in modules) you can easily upgrade your computers memory by buying them from any computer store, (I recommend 512 or greater) depending on your application use. However if you are refering to printer memory, that comes built into the printer unless your printer is one of those expensive ones with expandable memory to hold print jobs you just got to buy another printer with the memory needed.

OK, here it is, nice and slow. First, I can't say if you have 'enough' memory since you don't say how much you have, only how much is recommended for Photoshop. Photoshop says you need 256MB of RAM minimum in order to run the program. RAM (memory) is that section of the computer where the data that the computer is working on now is placed. This memory requirement does not take into account that you are running any number of other programs at the same time -- the operating system, for instance. Windows XP, Service Pack 2 should have 512MB to run comfortably apart from anything else. Add anti-virus, your browser, IM software, etc. and you should REALLY be looking at having a minimum of 1GB of RAM. Unless you don't mind your computer running at a snail's pace. It's axiomatic that you can't have too much memory, so if you can add more, do so, and as much as you can afford. (Note: make sure you get coolers for any memory stick above 1GB and get RAM with a lifetime warranty. The big sticks tend to overheat and die.) The hard disk is storage, like a file cabinet. This is where the computer keeps stuff it's NOT working on at the moment. Photoshop needs 1.5GB of storage space in order to be installed. If the above numbers are right, you've got plenty of room for Photoshop. As to room for your pictures, a 34GB hard drive is pretty small these days. But you have a couple of options. A) offload pictures to CDs or DVDs once you've edited them. This not only saves space, it means your pictures are safe if the computer goes terminal (sorry, computer humor). B) add a hard drive. They're available in capacities up to 1 terabyte (1000 gigabytes) now and the 400 or 500GB units are reasonably priced. Once it's installed, you can just move the entire My Pictures folder to the new drive.

Hi there
How old is the system that you have? If you only have 64MB RAM, you may have quite an old system. Go to www.crucial.com and there should be a button half way down the page that says "scan my system". This will tell you what type of RAM you have. Go to www.novatech.com for more information and to purchase RAM. You should be able to add a 128 MB chip to your computer. This would give you a total of 192 MB RAM which would be more than enough. There is nothing at all wrong with having more than enough RAM. RAM installation is done by opening up your computer case and locating your RAM slots and ensuring that there is space to add more. Seek advice from someone from you know who may be able to help with RAM installation.
Hope this helps.

RAM MB stand for Random Access Memory MegaBytes. The printer need memory where to store a print job before is print on the paper. More memory = much bigger print job should be processed.
Most probably is about a LASER printer ...To add more memory you have to buy more memory from the manufacturer or printer dealer. Contact your tech support !

Well what Operating system are you running?
just go buy some ram at any computer store... just tell them what kind of computer you have and they will do the rest of the work for you.. they will install it too.... for a price...
sometimes if it says that you need more "virtual memory " its because you have to many windows/programs running simultaneously

You already got the idea of RAM. Install more RAM in your computer. You should install 512 if you have Windows XP. Install 256 if you have Win 2000, me. Of course you can buy more, but it will cost you alot. Many time computer stores offer free installation of RAM if you buy from them.

The abbreviation-sonet of High-tech is quite a mess of confusion, unless you know a few "guidelines."
MB is abbreviation for MEGA-BYTE (which is 1 million bytes) commonly referring to computer memory.
RAM is abbreviation for RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY. - This high-techie term describes an amount of the capacity to how high your computer can handle the commands that operate it.
%The term "16MB of RAM" describes how much capacity of memory the computer can handle; 16Million "bits" of information can be calculated within the span of 1 second.
Isn't high-tech AMAZING?
