The first time it broke I was in the process of doing a ad-adware and it was showing spyware (43) but before it was done with the scan and I could take these off, the screen went blank.

The computer would not turn on (the light stayed off). (moniter was working but not computer)

Son replaced the motherboard and another part and said he thought it was fixed.

Turned on; it worked three minutes and then a screen came on saying file # such and such was corrupted or missing and to put in initial rebooting cd-rom and go to screen so and so to try to fix.

Computor will not shut off unless I unplug it. Son said it may need this part he has (but has not looked at it yet --one month ago it broke) and now talking of having to buy me a new one. Everyone's (both sons) mad at me and don't know how long it will take for them to afford one (I am disabled and on a small fixed income).

They said they thought the heat might have blown the motherboard, I was wondering if is so

I converted an AVI. about 1.5 gb into a WMV around 250 mb with Windows Media Encoder. I am trying to reach for 100mb to submit it to Youtube! and can I encode it AGAIN to make it to 100mb? Will it worsen the quality extremely bad or just a little? Will I know it will make decrease too a 100?

I have wireless at my moms house without a WEP code. But at my Dads house they have wireless but it needs a WEP code. I type in the code and it still says unable to connect. I am sure it is the right code. I have a Dell inspron 6000.

On Myspace how do you get pictures of yourself on there.. everytime I try to put pictures of me on it it says that my picture thing is too big.. I downloaded the Irfanview thing it says to download but I don't know how to work it.. Help??

First of all, please make sure you are able to use the Run command. If you are unable to use the Run command, please follow these instructions to enable the Run command to show up in the Start Menu:
Right click on the Taskbar
Select Properties
Click on the Start Menu Tab
Make sure that Start Menu is checked
Click Customize (that's right next to it)
Click on Advanced Tab
Scroll and make sure the box for the Run command is checked.
Now, go back to Start, then to Run and type the following: regsvr32 urlmon.dll and press Enter to execute it.

I can get to the main site but when I try to go to a certain area within this site, it shows at the bottom as "done" but I am looking at a completely blank, white page. I've tried setting my security lower, added this page to my trusted sites, and unblocked my pop up blocker and I still come up with a blank page.

I have Maya, I recieved it as a gift from a friend who knew I was getting into graphic arts. I messed around with it a bit and started to understand it. I even went through several of the tutorials it gives you. But I've since then lost interest in the program because I got stuck and now I have to start from step one again. I've almost completely forgotton what to do on it.
So please if anyone is willing to assist me I would be honored. Just leave me a message here saying your willing to help then email me for futher contact. I promise i'm a quick learner and will try my best not to be bothersome.

that when in a chat room, or forum, or from my home page, invite anyone to chat or contact me. but when they do, I shoot a line of questioning at them to decern what are, race, gender, etc. To exclude or weed out those I really didn't want to chat with or have contact me but didn't specify in my invite. Would I be a hypocrite, a liar, misinformed on the English Language, a combination of the above or something else all togather? The most logical non-emotion based response gets my nod.
