I am an O A P (female) just getting used to a lap top...mostly having fun...I bought a simple digital camera yesterday and am looking for tips to make life simple.The last time I used a camera it was a Brownie Box...point and click...so any advice on using the camera....downloading snaps and I dont know the correct word...improving them when they are on computer would be most useful.I have a disc with the camera to download but wondered do I need extra software to improve them ? Any advice would be useful because I know NOTHING...never even used a flash.

Okay so, I made a post the other day about my computer shutting off whenever my phone rang. I have a cordless phone with a DSL modem, and I've had my cordless phone sitting right beside my monitor for about 6 months, and just recently it started freezing and turning off. Well I finally realized it was my phone that was freezing and turning off my computer, so I moved my phone across my room.. that's about 10 feet away, and for the past two days my computer hadn't froze/turned off once. Then today, it was storming pretty badly out so I turned my computer off for about 40 minutes, when I turned it back on it started freezing and turning off again. I just took the battery out of my phone to see if that would help but whenever the cordless phone downstairs would ring, it'd still freeze up and turn off.
So, does anybody know what it is that I might be able to repair on my computer to make it stop the freezings? Or is it pretty much ruined?

I tried to install mozilla firefox add ons and a drag and drop software from yahoo photos but my mozilla browser is not allowing to install softwares (add ons and extensions ) even after adding the respective websites into the allowed list. Can anyone help me in solving this problem???

I downloaded intel hardware monitor v.2.1.9.66 version from:
http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/software/idu/

Firstly I saved it to my Hard drive but later came to know its a zip file.
Then I downloaded again & chose 'Run', it started downloading to Temporary folder (I dont know where is that) but again it was a zip file, It prompted me to unzipped & I did so, but hardware monitor didn't get installed on my computer. Now I have the previous one saved on the hard drive how do I intall the software after unzipping ? Kindly explain in detail. Thanks!
