I downloaded intel hardware monitor v.2.1.9.66 version from:
http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/software/idu/

Firstly I saved it to my Hard drive but later came to know its a zip file.
Then I downloaded again & chose 'Run', it started downloading to Temporary folder (I dont know where is that) but again it was a zip file, It prompted me to unzipped & I did so, but hardware monitor didn't get installed on my computer. Now I have the previous one saved on the hard drive how do I intall the software after unzipping ? Kindly explain in detail. Thanks!

First make sure to close all active programs except for ones like your Anti-virus (usually those in the system tray).

1. Download the file and save it in a directory you can find.
2. Close Internet Explorer
2. Unzip the file
3. Go to START Run... and find the file using the Browse button.
4 Click on the file name.
6 Press the okay button and watch it go.

To find that elusive program go to Start and Search then files and folders. Type the name in the box under Search for files or folders named: Skip the box labeled Containing Text. For the drop down box called Look In: Select the drive where the program is stored, usually the C: drive. Then press the Search Now button. If you double click on the file name that should run the program as well, provided it is unzipped. Anything in a Temp directory, usually found under the operating system's folder, can safely be deleted. You can even delete the folder, if Windows needs it then it will recreate it.
