i have a cd burner on my computer, i would like to burn a cd but i cant get it to work,Do i need to download somthing to get it to work? my son said at one time he had roxio easy cd creater on it , how do i find that since i have no softwere???

If you have Windows XP, you don't need new software to burn cd's. You can just right click on the file and you'll get an option to "add to burn list" and a ballon will pop up over the task bar saying that you have files ready to burn and to click on it. Do that and you'll see a folder with the file in it and you follow what it says to do. Or, if you insert a blank cd-r in the drive and right click the file, and click Send to, you should find the drive listed and you can click that.
Windows uses a version of Roxio Easy CD built in, but otherwise you will have to buy a separate software program if you find Windows built version awkward.

can you play a music cd on it???? .are you sure its a cd burner and not just a cd player??? if its a player it wont burn cd's. if its a burner you have to have drivers to get it to work, find out what make it is and go to the manufacturers web site, they should have the drivers on there to download free.

ok if u r using windows xp u dont have to use any softwares..
just put a blank cd..n then go to mycomputer double click on the cd icon....and paste the things u want to burn on to the cd.
and on the right side u will see a link saying write these files to cd..just click on it. tats it
if u r using someother Operating system like win2000 you will have to install softwares like Nero to write file son to a cd.

You need to reinstall roxio. Check ebay or your local used disc store.

is that software you have is Nero X? if yes, you can read the instruction below the setting and option.if no, just read some instruction in your option that you have installed it
