Anyone can tell me how to convert a ebook from Adobe to Word Document so I can print it and read it on the plane or car? I have an Adobe converter but when I save it as a Word Document it won't save, and plus the "Print" menu is not accessible to print.

has anyone downloaded the vista beta yet,if so how long did it take you,i have a download speed of 121kb per second,so how long would it take me,the biggest file ive downloaded was 1.3gb and that took 3 hours so i reckon it would tale 8-9 hours

I just got VOIP telephone service. The download stream is always fine, but if I have any program that uploads (torrent, gnutella, DC, FTP) open and running, it starts to introduce errors in the upstream conversation (the other person hears annoying clicks and I cut out). I'm sure this is because I only get about 100 kilobits upstream, but 4 megabits down.
Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this? I was hoping my router (a Linksys) would have a place to configure giving bandwidth priority to a particular device (we'd ALWAYS want the phone to get complete priority over any other device), but I couldn't find anything. Did I just miss it? Is there another solution? If another router with wireless does this, I could sell the older Linksys and get another. Any suggestions?

Why, when you go to sites like petasucks.com or lifelikepundits.com you can leave feedback, both positive or negative, but when you go to peta.org or moveon.org, you can only "join" their movement, or leave feedback in a way that it seem that you agree with their message. They simply refuse to listen to any criticism or engage in legitimate debate. Why do people listen to them when they only want followers, not thinkers?

when i increase my resolution to say 1280x768 and above the desktop is ok but is there a way you can increase the size of your homepage(i allready have it on largest on the view>text size option but at high res it has big gaps at the side
is there any yahoo options that can increase page size as ive used all internet explorer options

I can't get to the login screen on my Windows XP. Instead I get the blue screen of death that says there's a Registry Error. I can't use safe mode, and I can't seem to boot from my Windows XP CD. I can't figure out how to use the Recovery Console. The most recent settings that worked don't even work. My mission is to get at the pictures saved on the hard disk and copy them to a CD, or to get at the Recovery Console.

If it helps any, it's Windows XP Home Edition SP1 on a Dell.

I make copies of all the movies i have onto vhs so if my children tear up the original, i will have a back up copy. I purchased a dell dimensions with a dvd burner on it about 2 years ago but have never used the burner for dvds, i just always used vhs, i tried to burn a copy of a dvd that i purchased back 4 years ago, and the computer tells me it is copy protected...i use sonic software for my dvd and cd burner, how can i make a copy of my old dvds or even new ones that i purchase so i have an extra copy.. i am moving away from vhs movies because the quality of the movie is better on dvd...how can i make copies of dvds?

Can i change my proccessing chip without doing anything else to the current system? My proccessor seems to slow, (1400mhz,1.4), my motherboard is good, the MSI K8NGM-V, so can i just remove the current proccessor and add a more powerfull one without doing anything else? just dissconnect the power remove the old chip install the new chip power back up and everything should be ok? i dont want to kill the motherboard so any minor details that could cause a problem i would appreciate. I will use an AMD 64 sempron chip, just will increase the MHZ.
