I've no idea how to work this out with a fair degree of accuracy.

I'm flying to Estonia from London
Getting trains from there to St Petersburg
Train from there to Ulaanbaatar (trans-siberian express)
From there a train to Beijing, and then finally to Hong Kong.

I can find flight calcualtor websites and distance calculators - but nothing which will give me the distance by train.

Farenheit 451?
Have you seen Farenheit 451? (I think it's from the 60's) and do you know where that rail system (it's elevated with the tracks above the train) is located and if it still exists

I live next to a track and noticed that sometimes they give short whistles and sometimes they have long whistles. They almost always whistle 5 times.
And how can I find out when the trains are scheduled(freight only I think)?

One from Chicago, one from L.A. both full of women and young children.
They are both going 150 MPH and they are on the same track with no pull over and the radio systems are down so they have no way of knowing what's going to happen.
They are about an hour away from each other (150 miles away).
WHOOOOOO do you choose to call to save these poor women and children?

a. Chuck Norris *****
b. Steven Seagal
c. Superman (the Dean Cain superman not the crippled one)
d. Isaac Brock

i live in L.A., and whenever i drive to palm springs, along the 10 i see dozens fo freight trains, both long and small. some are moving others just sit there for hours. and there are sometimes lone cars sitting there, and sometimes groups of them not connected to any trains. im just curious about them. they dont run like any other transportation system i know

does anyone know a website which can explain how trains move through the country, and why they leave some cars behind?

They were widening this particular street one time and on this street is a rr crossing that appears to not have any more trains pass through on it. I believe it is tracks that may go to warehouses. The old signals used to have the sign exempt on it. Yet they installed a new signal system complete with the arms and cantilevers only to put the exempt sign on it also.

I've just tried to book a journey between London and Edinburgh and was faced with about 30 different fare options, double that if you include the "buy two singles option", all ranging from about £35.00 return to nearly £400.00. Why????
