My boyfriend's son is in LOVE with trains, he studies train maps or all lines and he's 6 years old, so you know what he's going to do when he gets older. lol But I wanted to know if they have any fun place to go where a child to be an conductor for a day. It would be a real treat for him to do something like that. Any ideas please let me know. Thanks!

of course the chemical tankers and all those, but what about just regular commuter trains, they always say, if you see something say something, or something to that effect, but lets be honest, if a guy gets on the train with a big duffle bag full of explosives no ones gonna be able to do anything about it thankfully terrorists apparently dont have those things i guess

I'm looking to take the Acela train from Boston to D.C., but wonder what it feels like at high speeds (75-150mph). Can a person get "carsick" from the motion at high speed? Is it comfortable and safe enough to walk around while riding on the train?

I want to find out when trains go by specific crossings within the los angeles area south of the airport. Is there a website with the times of these trains?

Why not, isn't speed esp thrilling for 18-25yr olds and everyone likes to have a super quick journey? Your serious thoughts are welcomed.

I have a 1918 Ashton Valve Company pressure guage off of a old steam engine. I found the year by looking at the serial number and dating it to when that number was manufactured. However I can not find an estimated value of the item. Any information would be great. Thanks.

My cousin had some major problems. As well as quitiing his job and living at home to go watch trains, the fiddling with model trains and those "radios" to hear the train drivers takes up all of his time. He had no women in his life and has stopped washing and is overweight now. he even belongs to a club of all men (suspicious really), I thought he was the only train nut. What in the world is going on here. Do some people take trains too far?

I rememeber going down escaltors or stairs to get to the main level of the terminal. The rail system is just for getting around the airport for different terminals.

was just idleing. It seemed to have just sat and idled all day. Seems like that would be harmful to the engine. The diesel engine was turning so slowly, I wonder how all of the parts were kept lubricated? Do you know anything about letting huge diesel engines just idle for long periods of time?
