I just got a car cover for my 1999 Corvette Convertible, and was wondering about using in when parked outside. I just read in popular mechanics that covers are bad in the rain, and when it is windy. has anyone ever had a car cover damage the paint when used? I want to protect the interior and the convertible top, but not at the expense of damaging the paint.

I took my car into the dealership to have it repaired on (not warranty work) on 11/15/2005. I got a call about 1 month later telling me that my car has been repaired and I could come pick it up. I paid $770.00 for a new throttle body (this is what coded as bad). My wife followed me home that day and I drove about 25 miles and the car went back to it's original problems, so I drove back to the dealership and explained that they missed the problem and gave them the car back. Well, here I am a year later and no car. I wasn't real worried about driving it at the time since I was driving a smaller car back a forth to work that got better MPG. I keep hearing the same old stuff "they are still working on it, just a little more time needed, they have been too busy, they don't have a bay to put it in, were trying to save you money, etc, etc.......I am just wondering what my options are, anyone got any advise?

Thanks.

Does anyone know how I can connect my radar detectr to a switched power source so I can get rid of the cigeratte lighter cord. THe 2007 does not have any obvious places to get power. The sun roof power is not switched, for example.

I got into a motorcycle accident, was off work for a while, couldnt make payments, loan company impounded my bike, after i caught up with them and paid them off including $325 impound fee, they gave me the phone number of the impound place to arrange pick up, to find out that those bastards want to charge me $50 fee PLUS $10 PER DAY which has been there for 3 months, they called it storage fee, and they wont let me pick up on Friday Saturday or Sunday cause they are closed, yet they are charging me storage fee for these days. Can I sue them for this? i am not paying them 1000$ to get my bike, not to mention my bike is wrecked and i cannot ride it, so i have to get a truck to tow it back, they just snatched it from my carport when i was away. What are my options?

Why do so many people hate 4X4's? I'm not getting into the arguements about what use they are, but the hate against the drivers. I don't own one, I don't want one, but what right have I to insult the people who do? If you read any of the anti 4X4 answers, they all personally insult the drivers, why not admit that they don't like the vehicles for no logical reason. Things such as "They are driven by small men with an inferiority complex", or "by mothers on the school run", the drivers are agressive etc etc. Well of course all these points are true - but not of just 4X4 drivers. The drivers of all vehicles, small, large, 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive Volvos, Fords any type and make of car has good, bad and indifferent drivers. Just because a car ha 4 wheel drive doesn't make it huge. Many medium sized cars are 4X4, even what you would call normal cars, such as the Imprezza are 4X4. If some one wants a car with 4 wheel drive, and they're paying to buy and run it, it is up to them.

I just converted my car from gasoline to lpg. I noticed that when I am using lpg, inside my car has no smell. But when I am using gasoline, I can smell something like carbon monoxide or is it the gasoline burning that smells from the inside of the car. So my question is, which is more dangerous: smelling the burning gasoline or the odorless lpg?
