mike r hit the nail on the head. you need a truck that can handle the load of a loaded three car trailer, and that means being able to tow 20,000lbs. that means buying more than a pick up truck, something more like a ford F650 for example, which will run around $100k new, and perhaps $60k used. then you need a trailer, again a lot of money spent even for a used trailer. on top of that you have fuel costs, maintenance costs for both the truck and trailer, tires, insurance(talk about expensive!!), motel bills, and on and on and on. and since it is a commercial enterprise, you may be required to get a commercial drivers license. one more fun thing you get to pay is road use taxes, and they are high. if you want to do this kind of work, start by working for a company that is established, and see if you like the job. some people dont like driving for a living, and it does wear on you.

Try advertising as a out of state moving company.. My friend went into a business like that. He moves people to Florida, They pay for the miliage and he gets big bonuses...He also got a contract for the Javis center in the city moving those fancy cars around.. I am not sure how. but there a lot of money to make. Check with real astate to.. They know who is moving to out states. maybe you can get a contract with one of them.. Good luck....
