No... I figured my friend was going to do it..not his spanish reading and speaking only contact. The things squeels like a stuck pig and barely stays in gear unless in 4wd. ANY IDEAS ON THE DAMAGE DONE... 50 miles on truck to get it home.

You cannot put it in backwards the thing won't fit.

As far as I know you can not put a clutch in backward and bolt up the xmission.It sounds like your throwout bearing went bad and when the trans was reinstalled the shift linkage was not adjusted correctly. Damage done if the throwout bearing went out could be a ruined pressure plate.

Well if you paid for this, you are screwed.
It could warp the flywheel, burn out the clutch, tear up the trans, screw up the pilot bearing. A lot of things.
My advice kick the illegals *** back to his own country and take it to a real mechanic.
A US made mechanic, not an illegal *** .

There is nothing legal to do, just take your loss, and either fix it yourself, or do an upgrade on your 'friends' This is what the old saying means: 'Chalk it up for experience' Sorry, good luck. Ron

Have it towed before you ruin it more. When you get it fixed right, drive him back to Mexico.
