I got into a motorcycle accident, was off work for a while, couldnt make payments, loan company impounded my bike, after i caught up with them and paid them off including $325 impound fee, they gave me the phone number of the impound place to arrange pick up, to find out that those bastards want to charge me $50 fee PLUS $10 PER DAY which has been there for 3 months, they called it storage fee, and they wont let me pick up on Friday Saturday or Sunday cause they are closed, yet they are charging me storage fee for these days. Can I sue them for this? i am not paying them 1000$ to get my bike, not to mention my bike is wrecked and i cannot ride it, so i have to get a truck to tow it back, they just snatched it from my carport when i was away. What are my options?

This probably depends on the local laws where you live. But the most probable answer is, yes, they can charge you for storage. In most places, the bike would have been sold by now in order to recover some of their cost for storage. Most places like that only have a 30 or 60 day holding time before they purge their inventory. So in that sense you're lucky. Of course if you don't want the bike back, if it is truly unridable, you could chose not to pay to get it back. But be careful with this option, if the storage is in your name, and not the loan company's, then it could really mess up your credit.

Good Luck!

certainly can. if your bike, car etc is impounded should already know you are paying a storage fee. did you think some one would hold on to it for free for you? no way dude they charge like 25 $ a day your lucky. your option is probably to give up your bike at this point. yeah they snatched it form your carport cause you didn't pay your bill. this is the bank or the loan givers right. technically its their bike not yours. you don't have a chance in court. so you can pay the fine, give up the bike that's your options. and if you give up the bike you still might have to pay something. also if you just leave it all and walk away you could end up sued by the storage place. so moral of the story, if you cant pay for something you are going to loose it.

Yes they can charge you a fee.
You have to decide if the bike is worth the money. If not, and you've already paid it off, let 'em keep it.
If you need your bike, you gotta dip in your pockets. You might be able to reason with them for a reduced fee or a payment arrangement.
