For the cost of a caravan you could take many expensive long haul holidays around the world.

But no - instead people would prefere to pay thousands of pounds for a tin box on wheels that they have to tow around with a maybe more expensive vehicle that they would possibly buy if they had no caravan to tow. They pay daily parking fee's at caravan sites to park this wonderful tin box - and park on a site with hhundreds of other mobile tin box owners -and they piss off every motorist on the road in the process.

WHY CARAVANS!!!!!!!

I've always thought that the fuel efficiencies would make it less expensive. But saw something the other day that said greater purchase cost - and insurance etc counter-balanced that.

Anyone have any thoughts?

My poor housekeepr bought a salvaged car for $2250 and was told the transmission was restored, but has since had to put hundreds in to get the car to work -- she almost had an accident on the freeway.

She showed me the "Deposit Receipt" where she paid $2000 and it does say "as is - no warranty" and the sales rep wrote in that the car was "fixed" listed minor repairs, and "alignment"

Isn't there a "Lemon Law" that can help her via state agency or in small claims court?

She has been to the business (Elite Auto Sales in San Diego) and says the owner is always "unavailable" and one of the guys who works there told her they knew the car didn't work, that's just they way its -- the neighbors to the business also told her they do this all the time -- rip off the poorest people.

What should she do?

My brother and I bought 2 new bikes for a summer vacation. His 1200 Bandit leaked gas and ruined the motor before it got 2000 miles. We asked Suzuki to replace the motor so we could go on vacation. They said it’s to expensive and would cost $3000. After 4 months and the vacation gone they got the motor rebuilt at a cost of $3700. The dealer wanted to replace the motor but Suzuki squashed that. The gas stained cases and burnt exhaust pipes were not replaced. The bike got nicked and scratched all over from being apart for so long. It ran like crap and looked worse. We called Japan for nothing, and even wrote the US CEO all for nothing. We spent $15,000 for the bikes to get Fd. We spent our vacation hassling with Suzuki, and not one person there gave a F! Beware Suzuki’s warranty is not worth the paper it’s printed on! Buy one of their lemons are get Fd like we did!

A couple of days ago I got a letter from the Police saying I had a speeding fine and would get some points on my licence .The car registration number is mine. However, today I had to go into town and was also going to post of the documents for the speeding fine (like the license number and the declarationit was me driving) and I parked in a multi-storey car park. For some reason I forgot where my car was parked and was looking around for it on loads of different levels. I was looking for my number plate as a lot of cars have a similiar design and colour to mine. I discovered the same make car as mine with my car plate number on it.!The only difference is the colour of the car. The make and car plate number is the same...even the same dealership. I even checked there and then ...as I had not posted the letter off to the police yet. Is this possible? I am pretty certain in reference to the speeding fine ...it is me..but how can someone else be driving around with my car plate number?
