I've had a Subaru since I started driving 5 years ago. I love the AWD, but I'm not sure if I want another Subaru. I definately do not want a truck or SUV. I would like something a little more professional looking than a Subaru. What other AWD cars are out there?

I am planning on buying a car soon and was wondering whether a Toyota Highlander or a Honda Pilot was better? It's so difficult because they are both very similar. Please help.

*THIS QUESTION IS FOR PEOPLE IN THE USA* Does this and other recent studies which show domestic cars and trucks being equal to or outperforming imports change your mind about domestic brands? Or do you still believe in the old perception that imports are better?

I'd figure it won't cost as much to get a used classic car, especially one that's beat up a bit. That would give me time to work on the car myself, gain some experience along the way, and customize it to my own wants.

However, thinking about this makes me feel worried that it's not a safe idea, due to the lack of safety features back then. I'd also have to learn on a manual, which I have no experience on. Lastly, how would insurance be?

It's just an idea I haven't put too much thought into, so if you all agree it's a bad idea, I wouldn't complain.

How many of you think chevy and Ford stink. They don't care about the environment and they are biulding cars that are unsafe for other driver who are senisible enough not to drive them. I think it rocks that Ford is in a huge bankrupy. I think I know how they could get out though. They could just make really reliable cars that have great gas milage (sort of like a prius). Then people will want to buy them, then theyd get out probably.

Views and thoughts please.!

They are now quite aging cars yes? And the original parent company is bankrupt so any/all warranties on the cars are void... and I'm not sure anyone is making any engine/gearbox replacement parts for all the little things which break down on cars.

Do you pick up any vibes as to the character of person who might drive this? Or what kind of person would steal an old Rover 620 (reliability) to commit a crime?
