Trucks Please, not suv's (tacoma, tundra, frontier, etc) I get 18 with my current full-size GMC with a 5.3 V8. but put on 40k miles a year. Just looking to save money on gas but I need a truck for my job.

1990 Toyota 4x4 pickup.
Engine: 22re 4 cyl
transmission: W56 5-speed
Tires: 33x12.50r15 BFG A/T
Axle gears: 4.88 (had 4.10 stock)

This combo gets me 18-21 mpg. I've checked it countless times when I fill up. Those gears put the 33" tires back to stock ratio so the odometer is close to stock.

Toyota all the way. i would give you facts but too many to list, you could do some research if you want to. But what ive learned and heard from dad is Toyota is the best, im not saying Nissan isnt good either, becuase it is. Also my dad used to have a Tundra and let me tell you it runs cleans, its very powerful, its very reiliable, good for off road and towing and im saying all this becuase we did everything to it, even went from Los Angeles to New York and back with a loaded 6' x 12' U-haul Trailer being towed with no problems. (we've moved alot these past 2 years over from the West coast to the east coast and back.) and also Ford is pure American sh*t. Never buy American, its wayy better Japenese. Also my uncle has a Tacoma and its the same thing as the tundra only lighter and basically for lighter dutys. Also Nissan is good too but i prefer Toyota.
