How many of you think chevy and Ford stink. They don't care about the environment and they are biulding cars that are unsafe for other driver who are senisible enough not to drive them. I think it rocks that Ford is in a huge bankrupy. I think I know how they could get out though. They could just make really reliable cars that have great gas milage (sort of like a prius). Then people will want to buy them, then theyd get out probably.

Views and thoughts please.!

I will agree with you on the Ford thing but Chevy is a great company. The cars are very safe and GM is making a Tahoe hybrid, a Yukon hybrid, and an Escalade hybrid. And if you need to pull seven people in one car you just can't do it with a six cylinder. You need that V8 power. I drive a Yukon and it gets respectable gas mileage and it can hold seven people and lots of luggage.

Sorry, gcarter I own an 04 Toyota Camry that I purchased new. I tried out a new 07 Camry with the V-6 and found that the transmission shifted lousy. Go on Yahoo and see what Toyota owners already have said about total transmission breakdowns. Other owners are complaining about erratic shifting. Dealerships are telling costumers to"live with it." Baloney! I'm waiting for a new Camaro or the totally new Malibu which will have a "Toyota Crusher" 3.6 DOHC V-6 with a six speed transmission. If Toyota's are so great in dependability why can't they match GM's warranty?
The answer is they get rich selling overpriced parts. Who wants to replace a starter or alternator for $600.00.

What an idiot.
You seem to think that companies such as these deliberately make vehicles that will not sell, or intentionally put themselves into dire financial straights.
It's a large market with many competitors. Innovations and different standards will appeal to different people.
Oversimplification such as your "solution" displays your lack of marketing knowledge, such as appealing to a youth segment.
Rejoicing in someones troubles also shows an astounding lack of maturity.
By the way, it's spelled "bankruptcy."
