i got a 94 and a 96 seadoo xp. Both ran like crap last weekend at the lake. We ain't owned them for but 6 weeks and when we bought them the guy said they probably need a tune up. What all is involved with tuning one of these things up? I have also heard about the sea doos being very maintience intensive so what should i be looking for and doing. Both boats seem in real good shape, and appear to be excellent for their age. Another question is on the two stroke oil. the 94 takes the mineral oil and the 96 takes the synthetic. we bought a jug of each for them and when i went to top of the oil injector on the 96 i noticed after the fact that the oil the previous guy used was blue, and this xps synthetic the dealer sold me was brown. Are they the same oil or did i probably just blow the damn thing up. I can tell they were both indeed synthetic by the smell so maybe i am just being paranoid.

I want to use either plastic barrels or maybe the gallon drums, but how could i accomplish this without welding? Is this realistic? I have so many ideas flowing in my head. I mainly want to do something simple but stable. My boyfriend said i couldnt do it, so now im on a mission. I also want to use foam noodles somewhere on this raft. For fun :)
If i want to fit four people (at most) on this raft, what sort of dimensions do you think we are looking at? I want the weight to be evenly dispersed.

If you have 2x 50HP engines on the back of a speed boat, do they work as well as 1x 100HP engine?

either way, what is the point of having two? - (other than a safety aspect if one cuts out)
