My dream is to become a pilot for a commercial airline (or something similar) but i really don't know anybody personally who is a pilot. I would really like to talk to one about how they got to where they are.
I am currently 17, and in my junior year of high school. I enjoy physics and trig, but hate english. I'm pretty sure that I want to fly planes. When i was 14, i was in the Civil Air Defense, and i learned a lot about planes (i only got to fly a plane twice). I had to stop going to CAP when i was 15 because of wrestling and soccer.
I was just wondering if there are any pilots out there who would like to talk with me about their carrer.

I have been looking around for some good dvds on fighter jets in action. I like seeing how they are made, stories from pilots, and backround history, but i want to see real dogfights or maybe just a display of firepower? Any DVDs out there?

Do I have any right to the airspace above my property, and if so how far up. Can a helicopter hover 20 feet over my land?

I am really looking for one picture in particular, It is a pretty dramatic shot of a kamikaze plane breaking up in a fireball with only the front fuselage and left wing still attached, just feet from the deck, where parked aircraft sit. There's also a crew member in the bottom right of the pic with his hand up.

Has anybody seen this picture?

It seems now that if you don't reserve skymile seats quickly, you can forget it for at least 331 days, which is as far out as their reservations go for skymiles. Why are they limiting the number of seats, is it because of their 2005 bankruptcy rules?

The max. weight as per the POH is 1600 lb., but if the ramp weight went slightly over, so that by the time you got to the runway and your take-off weight was 1600 lb., is that still legal?

Thanks. Just wondering.

I'm considering training to obtain my private pilot license. I'm 6'2" @ 210lbs. Am I too big for the 152? The difference for the 172 is +$50 a hour which adds up. Pros/cons of each. I don't care about bringing people along.

As you know, there was a variant of the B-25 Mitchell in WW2 armed with a 75 mm cannon. I recall seeing a photo of one in a WW2 book, but it was shown attacking a Japanese oil storage tank. I haven't seen much about that plane though Monogram had that model in the 1970s.
