The japanese had a fear of their kamikaze pilots never reaching their targets because of a head injury. Let me explain. When the kamikaze plane would be on its route to the target, sometimes, the pilot could have hit his head against something in the cockpit and could have either blacked-out or fully lost conciousness. This means that the plane could have crashed before the target. I read this in some odd facts kind of book.
