In other words, the use of the tail to stabilize and control the airplane.

I could not find anything like a tail in the Wright brothers planes.

I want to download a plane for my flight simulator but I don't know which and I need you to name one. I want a good allied jet fighter from like the 50s, like the f-104 or something. So could you help me out? To narrow it down, I've already gotten the F-104, F-4,
F-86, and the A-10. I also like WWII fighters and bombers if you know any good ones.

I've had my private w/ instrument and multi for about 5 years. I've had more than a few close calls. Recently, frequent small plane crashes have caught my attention. It makes me think my number might be up one day. None of this used to bother me. I'd think it would never happen to me, that I'm a better pilot, and I would always fly the best aircraft I could afford. Furthermore, I thought, if I went down at least I'd die doing something I loved. My dilema is, I absolutely love flying and would be devastated if I decided to quit flying. At least I'll be alive though. I'm young and have a lot to live for, but I live for flying too. Are there any pilots out there having similar thoughts, or any who have quit flying already?

Ok, imagine a jumbo jet cargo plane carrying 10 tons of birds (crows, parrots..whatever ) all at once, the birds start to flap their wings and lift themselves off the jumbo's floor..
Question; does the aircraft lose 10 tons in weight ???

why and how?

What airplane would you recommend that seats 6, but is not high performance? I only have my private pilot license yet, but the company I work for is looking to buy an airplane.

Hi Guys,

Any pilots or controlers or anyone in the aviation buisness can tell me if what I would like to do is legal or not.

A lot of you guys in this site know I am a genuine guy, I am Scottish but live in Essex England, I suffer from multiple disabilities, I love watching aircraft inflight and at airports.

Now I am at home a lot now as I am very tired with my kidney failures treatment 3 times a week.

I want to know if it is legal to search and find a web site and to watch aircraft navigating around the UK. Aircraft flying to and from All Londons airports fly virtually over my house, my home town where I live in Essex has a navigation beacon where a lot of aircraft passing over the UK pass straight over.

In the summertime I sit outside my front garden watching all the planes, I love monotoring them with my radio and I have the aviation map of my area.

Is it possible and legal to watch / monitor flights in and around the UK and my area.

Jimmy From Essex

I'm looking for monthly or annual delivery info for planes such as the C-130 or F-16 (and modifications). Boeing posts this info online for the V-22, for example, but neither Northrop-Grumman or Lockheed-Martin does so (at least to my knowledge). I thought this was public information.

Due to changes in altitude, turning to/from the airport, routings that are not directly point to point, etc. On example is JFK-LAX: 2475 statue miles point to point. What are the actual miles flown? Of course, feel free to use any example.

This question arose after reding Dan Brown's book Angels and Demons. The jet in the book is real and if you were to go from Australia to Europe FOR EXAMPLE is there any chance that you would be able to live the same hour twice? Taking into account the different time zones?
